About this surah

Surah Al-'Adiyat (Arabic: العاديات, "The Courser") is the 100th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 11 verses, in juz 30, on pages 599–600 of the 604-page Madina mushaf.

Surah Al-Adiyat swears by the charging horses and reminds of mankind's ingratitude toward their Lord.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلۡعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبۡحٗا

    1

    WaalAAadiyati dabhan

  2. فَٱلۡمُورِيَٰتِ قَدۡحٗا

    2

    Faalmooriyati qadhan

  3. فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبۡحٗا

    3

    Faalmugheerati subhan

  4. فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعٗا

    4

    Faatharna bihi naqAAan

  5. فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا

    5

    Fawasatna bihi jamAAan

  6. إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٞ

    6

    Inna alinsana lirabbihi lakanoodun

  7. وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٞ

    7

    Wainnahu AAala thalika lashaheedun

  8. وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

    8

    Wainnahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeedun

  9. ۞أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ

    9

    Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira ma fee alquboori

  10. وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ

    10

    Wahussila ma fee alssudoori

  11. إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢ

    11

    Inna rabbahum bihim yawmaithin lakhabeerun
