Surah Al-Fil (Arabic: الفيل, "The Elephant") is the 105th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 5 verses, in juz 30, on page 601 of the 604-page Madina mushaf.

Surah Al-Fil recounts the story of the Elephant army that tried to destroy the Ka'bah and how Allah annihilated them.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ

    Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biashabi alfeeli

  2. أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِي تَضۡلِيلٖ

    2

    Alam yajAAal kaydahum fee tadleelin

  3. وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ

    Waarsala AAalayhim tayran ababeela

  4. تَرۡمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٖ مِّن سِجِّيلٖ

    Tarmeehim bihijaratin min sijjeelin

  5. فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٖ مَّأۡكُولِۭ

    FajaAAalahum kaAAasfin makoolin
