Surah Al-Qari'ah (Arabic: القارعة, "The Calamity") is the 101st surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 11 verses, in juz 30, on page 600 of the 604-page Madina mushaf.

Surah Al-Qari'ah describes the Striking Hour when deeds are weighed and every person is held accountable.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

  2. مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

    Ma alqariAAatu

  3. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

    Wama adraka ma alqariAAatu

  4. يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ

    Yawma yakoonu alnnasu kaalfarashi almabthoothi

  5. وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

    5

    Watakoonu aljibalu kaalAAihni almanfooshi

  6. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    6

    Faamma man thaqulat mawazeenuhu

  7. فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ

    7

    Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin

  8. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    8

    Waamma man khaffat mawazeenuhu

  9. فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ

    9

    Faommuhu hawiyatun

  10. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ

    10

    Wama adraka ma hiyah

  11. نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ

    11

    Narun hamiyatun
