About this surah

Surah Ash-Sharh (Arabic: الشرح, "The Relief") is the 94th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 8 verses, in juz 30, on pages 596–597 of the 604-page Madina mushaf.

Surah Ash-Sharh brings glad tidings that with hardship comes ease, and reminds the Prophet of the expansion of his heart.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ

    1

    Alam nashrah laka sadraka

  2. وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَ

    WawadaAAna AAanka wizraka

  3. ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَ

    Allathee anqada thahraka

  4. وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَ

    WarafaAAna laka thikraka

  5. فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا

    Fainna maAAa alAAusri yusran

  6. إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرٗا

    Inna maAAa alAAusri yusran

  7. فَإِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَٱنصَبۡ

    Faitha faraghta fainsab

  8. وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَب

    Waila rabbika fairghab
