About this surah

Surah Ad-Duhaa (Arabic: الضحى, "The Morning Hours") is the 93rd surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 11 verses, in juz 30, on page 596 of the 604-page Madina mushaf.

Surah Ad-Duha comforts the Prophet, assuring him that Allah has not forsaken him, and reminds him of Allah's care since his orphanhood.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

    1

    Waaldduha

  2. وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

    2

    Waallayli itha saja

  3. مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ

    3

    Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala

  4. وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

    4

    Walalakhiratu khayrun laka mina aloola

  5. وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ

    5

    Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda

  6. أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ

    6

    Alam yajidka yateeman faawa

  7. وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ

    7

    Wawajadaka dallan fahada

  8. وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ

    8

    Wawajadaka AAailan faaghna

  9. فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ

    9

    Faamma alyateema fala taqhar

  10. وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ

    10

    Waamma alssaila fala tanhar

  11. وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ

    11

    Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith
