Surah Al-Masad (Arabic: المسد, "The Palm Fiber") is the 111th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 5 verses, in juz 30, on page 603 of the 604-page Madina mushaf.
Surah Al-Masad condemns Abu Lahab and his wife with punishment for their fierce hostility toward the Prophet.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ
1Tabbat yada abee lahabin watabba
مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
2Ma aghna AAanhu maluhu wama kasaba
سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ
3Sayasla naran thata lahabin
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ
4Waimraatuhu hammalata alhatabi
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ
5Fee jeediha hablun min masadin
