Ad-Duhaa
The Morning Hours
11 verses
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
١Waaldduha
By the morning brightness
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
٢Waallayli itha saja
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
٣Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]
وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
٤Walalakhiratu khayrun laka mina aloola
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
٥Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied
أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
٦Alam yajidka yateeman faawa
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ
٧Wawajadaka dallan fahada
And He found you lost and guided [you]
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
٨Wawajadaka AAailan faaghna
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
٩Faamma alyateema fala taqhar
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
١٠Waamma alssaila fala tanhar
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]
وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
١١Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]
